kann man sich kostenfrei individuelle Karten aus aller Welt zusammenstellen und sie als ..img-Datei oder Installationsdatei für MapSource / BaseCamp unter Windows oder Mac herunterladen, ggf. nach Fertigstellung des Datensatzes.
Nachteil: Alle zusammengestellten Kartensätze haben den vorgegebenen Namen OSM generic routable. Bei der img-Datei habe ich keine Probleme, die Windows-Installation wird aber verweigert, wenn bereits ein früher installierter Kartensatz (ebenfalls OSM generic routable) vorhanden ist, d. h., um die neue Karte zu installieren muss die bereits vorhandene Karte deinstalliert werden, was aber nicht in meinem Sinne ist.
Hat jemand eine Lösung?

bietet auf der FAQ-Seite folgende Lösung an:
I installed a second map from garmin.openstreetmap.nl in MapSource/BaseCamp/RoadTrip and don\'t see the first map anymore
The maps from garmin.openstreetmap.nl use a single product ID so installing a second map overwrites the first map. Solution: download the application JaVaWa GMTK and use that to change the product ID of the first map before installing the second map (click on the flag on the top of the page for other languages, like English).
